Brian has over 30 years experience in the Semiconductor and technology industry and is based in Palo Alto California.
In 1993, Brian was founder and CEO of Parthus Technologies Plc (now CEVA Inc), a leading Digital Signal Processing company which supplied technology and IP to over 40% of the world’s smart phones. In 2000, Brian led the company’ Initial Public Offering with a dual listing on the Nasdaq and LSE stock markets. In 2002 Brian founded and was chairman of GloNav Inc, a leading GPS company which developed the first single chip GPS solution deployed in the Samsung Galaxy phones. The company was sold to NXP in 2004.
Brian is co-founder and Managing Partner of Atlantic Bridge Capital from 2004 to present time. During that time, Brian has served as a director on over twenty technology companies in Europe and the US and was instrumental in helping build and successfully sell these companies, principally to major US corporations. These BOD/Chair roles include:- Movidius sold to Intel, DecaWave sold to Qorvo, Magnetics sold to Dell/EMC, Blue Data sold to HPE, Nanotec sold to Gennum Inc, Bridge Co sold to SMSC, Silicon Blue sold to Lattice Semi, Lion Semiconductor sold to Cirrus Logic, Hedvig Inc sold to Commvault, Nod Labs sold to AMD, NuVia sold to Qualcomm, Chirp sold to TDK and Navitas (NVTS) IPO on Nasdaq.
Brian has an undergraduate and Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and Semiconductor MicroElectronics from Trinity College Dublin. Brian started his career as a design engineer at Bell Labs AT&T and later as Corporate head of mixed signal IC design at Digital Equipment Corporation. He is cited as the inventor on a number of US and European IC patents.
Brian was awarded the Earnest&Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2000, Silicon Valley Top 50 Technology Executive in 2010 and was awarded the American-Ireland Fund Person of the year Award in 2014.

Elaine has over 25 years of experience in running and scaling technology companies, including successful realisations through IPOs and M&A. Based in Dublin, Elaine was previously co-founder and director of Glonav, a GPS company that was acquired by NXP for $110 million. Elaine served as CFO or vice president of finance for three successful technology IPOs − Parthus, IONA and Smartforce – that realized more than $5 billion in value for investors. She is currently on the board of Atlantic Bridge portfolio companies FieldAware, WellAir and Swrve (observer). She was named one of Europe’s Top 50 Inspiring Women in Technology, one of Ireland’s Top 50 Women in Technology. Elaine holds an MSc in Corporate Governance, is a qualified Chartered Director and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Kevin is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Atlantic Bridge and has 30 years’ operating experience in the technology sector, including a total of 13 in Paris, London and Dublin as an executive in the software industry and five years in Silicon Valley. Kevin served as Vice President, Microsoft EMEA and helped grow the regional business from $500 million in 1991 to $9.5 billion in 2004. At Microsoft, Kevin was a member of Microsoft EMEA’s senior management team responsible for various roles in Finance, Operations, and Sales and Marketing including establishing the European Operations centre in Dublin.
Kevin is a frequent industry speaker and was ICT Ireland Industry Person of the Year in 2001 and elected a fellow of the Irish Management Institute in 2000. He holds various degrees in Business, Finance, Taxation & Law and is an Attorney at Law, Certified Public Accountant and Certified Investment Manager.

Mark is Co-Founder, General Partner & CFO at Atlantic Bridge. Prior to this, Mark was CEO of Mentor Capital, a venture capital firm he founded in 2001 that specialized in investing in and mentoring seed and early stage technology companies.
Mark has a successful track record of investing in and growing technology companies and has sold numerous companies, including OMI, Firecomms and Nanotech, to international buyers since 1997. Mark was also previously the Group Financial Director of Mentec Limited, an established Irish enterprise software company where he executed a number of merger and acquisition deals including a partial exit for shareholders.
Mark was Chairman of the Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA) from June 2013 to June 2014. He holds a B. Comm from University College, Cork and an M.B.A. from University College, Dublin. In addition, Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Gerry is a Co-Founder and General Partner at Atlantic Bridge and is an experienced Investor, Executive and Design Engineer with a thirty-year career in the technology industry.
Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, he was Vice President R&D at Parthus Technologies responsible for managing a business which included divisions in Ireland, UK and USA. Gerry joined the company in 1993 and played a key role in its transition from startup to successful IPO on Nasdaq. Gerry also held senior management roles at several technology companies including Philips and Texas Instruments.
Gerry has a BA, BAI degree in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.

Peter co-founded Parthus Technologies plc (now CEVA Inc.) in 1993. He was Chief Financial Officer from 1993 to 2001 and EVP, Corporate Development responsible for significant merger and acquisition activity from January 2001 to October 2002. He is currently Chairman of the board of directors of CEVA Inc., a NASDAQ listed company.
From 2003 - 2013 Peter was a member of the Board of the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA), an appointment made by the Irish Government and was also a member of the Audit Committee at the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA). Peter is a member of the Governing Board of Technology Ireland.
Peter is a Chartered Director and a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland and a former Business Advisor on the Stanford University Executive Program, Strategic Leadership for CFOs, which was funded by Enterprise Ireland.

Paul joined Atlantic Bridge in 2012 and brings over 14 years’ operational experience in the Semiconductor industry. Prior to Atlantic Bridge, Paul spent 11 years in various engineering and management roles in the semiconductor industry. He worked for global companies as well as start-ups, including Analog Devices, Parthus, and Phyworks. At Analog Devices he led the development of fiber-optic communications products. Paul was also a key member of Chipsensors, an Irish fabless start-up developing environmental sensing devices, which was acquired by Silicon Laboratories in 2010.
Paul holds a First Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin and a Masters in Management from the Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin and is the holder of a number of US patents. He is a Kauffman Fellow having completed the program in Palo Alto, California as a member of Class 17 in 2014.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Paul participates in many outdoor acivites such as hiking and orienteering and volunteers as a Mountain Ranger in the Dublin Mountains.

Helen joined Atlantic Bridge in 2015 on our University Bridge Fund. At Atlantic Bridge, Helen leads investing in early stage deeptech companies.
With a strong track record built over 15 years, Helen has successfully sourced and financed over 40 deep tech ventures including notable Irish companies: Neurent Medical, Equal1, Siren, Output Sports, Proverum Medical, Plasmabound and Manna. Companies from Atlantic Bridge’s early stage portfolio have to date raised over €700m and continue to grow and scale globally.
Helen is on the board of many venture backed companies and chairs the Governance Committee of IPIC , a Science Foundation Ireland Centre for photonics. Helen is both mentor and advisor to organisations including Knowledge Transfer Ireland, IVCA, UCD VentureLaunch, Start100 and is a prior VP at TechTour.
Passionate about encouraging young people’s involvement in STEM, Helen is board member of the education focused non-profit, Kinia, and is a judge at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Competition.
Helen is listed as one of the Top 100 Women in STEM in Ireland and is a Kauffman Fellow. Helen was awarded a 1st Class Hons. Electronic Engineering Degree (UCD) and a PhD (The University of Edinburgh) in the area of AI based conversational agents and multimodal interfaces.

Melissa joined Atlantic Bridge in 2020 as Investment Director Europe. She is based in our Paris and London offices and focuses on venture to growth investments in software across Europe.
Melissa has more than 10 years’ experience in VC and growth investment in the UK, France and Spain – she is a French national with Spanish family, who has lived and worked in the UK for several years. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge she worked for Ardian as a member of the Growth team.
Melissa graduated with a MSc in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées in France.

Conor joined Atlantic Bridge in 2021 where he focuses on identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities for the University Bridge Funds.
Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Conor was based in London where he was Vice President at Paladin Capital, one of the most active early-stage venture capital investors in the cybersecurity sector. Before Paladin Conor was Investment Manager at Seraphim Capital, the largest investment group dedicated to investing in space technology start-ups.
Following his MBA at the University of Oxford, Conor joined the Satellite Applications Catapult, a space research and technology centre funded by the UK Government, as Head of Business Strategy supporting over 100 start-ups. Prior to this Conor worked in sales, trading and operational roles for 5 years at two global investment banks.
Conor holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BA in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin.

Senan is an Investment Manager at Atlantic Bridge, having joined in 2021, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Senan worked at Bank of Ireland and was involved in the structuring and execution of leveraged finance transactions in the Irish market, as well as managing Bank of Ireland’s participation as a limited partner in a number of venture capital and private equity funds. Senan holds a BA, BAI and MAI in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, a Diploma in Financial Advice (QFA) from the Institute of Banking and has passed Levels I and II of the CFA Program.

Dominik joined Atlantic Bridge as a Senior Investment Associate on the University Bridge Fund in 2022. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Dominik was an Investment Manager in the Life Science Team of the University College London (UCL) Technology Fund which is managed by Albion Capital. Before joining the UCL Technology Fund, Dominik was responsible for the commercialisation of technologies that originated at the UCL Cancer Institute and the UCL GOSH Institute of Child Health. He has also held different R&D roles within the medical device and speciality pharmaceutical industries. Dominik holds a BSc in Life Sciences Technologies from the University of Northern Switzerland and a MSc in Innovation and Management from Imperial College Business School.

Weili joined the University Bridge Fund in 2021. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Weili was a Biotech Investment Fellow at M Ventures, the venture capital arm of Merck KGaA. Before entering the venture capital world, Weili gained experienced across roles in the University of Queensland Technology Transfer Office, KPMG, as well as in Independent Innovation Centres. Weili holds two Master's degrees in Molecular Biology & Technology and Innovation Management from University of Queensland.

Jonny joined Atlantic Bridge in 2023, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Jonny worked within the M&A team at One Retail Group, a multi-national ecommerce brand owner. Before this, Jonny founded his own ecommerce brand whilst studying at university, which he sold in 2021. Jonny holds a BSc First Class degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Sunir joined Atlantic Bridge in 2012 and has over 30 years of international management and technical experience working in technology for high profile companies such as Oracle (VP Marketing and VP Global Strategy) where he was part of the Management Committee and Microsoft (Director World Wide Business Strategy) where he reported to the Office of the President. Sunir was most recently CEO of UBmatrix Inc, the creator of XBRL, the global standard for business information exchange, which was acquired by RR Donnelley (NASDAQ: RRD). He was previously co-founder and CEO of E-Stamp, credited with inventing the technology and market for Internet postage (NASDAQ: STMP), and one of the first internet payment systems. Sunir has also worked for Novell, Inc., Honeywell as well as at the European Space Agency in Europe. Sunir has a BS (Hon) in Physics from the University of Birmingham (UK) and a MS in Computer Systems from the Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK).

Joe Macri joined Atlantic Bridge as a Senior Advisor in 2021 and has 35 years’ experience in the technology sector, including 24 years at Microsoft in various international leadership roles. At Microsoft, Joe was responsible for establishing the UK SMB business, creating and leading the Irish Subsidiary, launching the commercial cloud business in Western Europe, leading Microsoft’s EMEA Public Sector business and, most recently, leading the UK Partner Business as they created new AI capabilities and accelerate their transformation to the cloud.
Prior to Microsoft, Joe worked at NatWest and before that he worked for a number of technology companies in Australia. Joe holds an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK and a Computer Science Bachelor of Science degree from Sydney University. He took up sailing several years ago crewing on a Grand Soleil and when not spending time with his family, he enjoys cycling.

Helen Ryan was the Chief Executive Officer of Creganna-Tactx Medical from 2005 until September 2013. Creganna-Tactx Medical is a global supplier to the medical device industry specialising in products, technologies and solutions for minimally invasive therapies. The company is currently ranked among the world’s top 10 medical device outsource providers. During Helen’s time as CEO, the company grew five-fold to become the largest indigenous medical device company. The expansion included three company acquisitions, a strategic joint venture in Asia, and the raising of significant debt and equity financing. The organisation grew from 100 people at a single site in Galway to over 1,250 people across a global network of four sites in Ireland, the USA and Singapore. Prior to joining Creganna-Tactx in 2003, Helen worked with Medtronic and Tyco Healthcare (Covidien) in Product Development and R&D functional management roles. Helen has a Bachelor of Engineering from NUI Galway, a Masters in Project Management from UL, and has completed a Senior Executive Programme at Stanford University. Helen is a fellow of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland, a past Chair of the Irish Medical Devices Association, and serves as a non-executive director of a number of companies.

Osman is a serial technology and media entrepreneur best known as the founder and CEO of 3Dlabs - at one time one of the fastest growing NASDAQ companies in Silicon Valley. 3Dlabs is a fabless chip company whose products were used in the making of films like the Titanic and The Matrix and helped pioneer the 3D graphics revolution on the PC. Osman is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in the UK, has a First Class degree in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering from University of Birmingham (UK) and is the inventor of numerous patents in the field of computing and graphics

Thomas is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working globally in the software and consumer electronics industry. Atlantic Bridge invested in Metaio in 2012, an AR software company which Thomas founded and which was acquired by Apple in 2015. From 2015 – 2018 Thomas was based at Apple HQ Cupertino USA where he was Director of Engineering as well as Director of Procurement in the Strategic Deals Team. Thomas is highly skilled in Augmented Reality, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Partnerships and leads dealflow in key sectors like AR/VR, Automotive, Software.

Kumar Sreekanti is a venture partner at Atlantic Bridge Ventures, specializing in software, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML. With over 30 years of industry experience, Kumar has a proven track record of identifying and investing in cutting-edge technology startups. As a three-time founder-CEO Kumar brings a wealth of operational expertise that is invaluable to founders building and scaling startups.
Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Kumar served as the Global CTO and Head of Software at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he led the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for the HPE software-defined portfolio. He joined HPE through the acquisition of BlueData, where he was the founder and CEO. Before that, Kumar held leadership roles in R&D at top technology companies such as VMware, Akamai, and Adaptec.

David Lam is a Senior Advisor of Atlantic Bridge Capital. He led the firm’s investments and represents Atlantic Bridge on the boards of Semsysco, SweGaN, Caption Health, Syntiant and AtScale. He previously represented the firm on the boards of Movidius (acquired by Intel), Decawave (acquired by Qorvo) and Navitas (Nasdaq IPO), among others. Prior to Atlantic Bridge, David was Managing Director of WestSummit Capital where he served as its representative on the boards of Twitch (acquired by Amazon), Mirantis and Maginatics (acquired by EMC) among others. David was previously Managing Director for WI Harper, a cross-border venture capital firm. Prior to that, David was Vice President at The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm, after serving as head of business development for a Carlyle portfolio company. He also held various operating roles at CIENA Corporation, ONI Systems, Cisco Systems and Proxim. David began his career as an investment banker at Robertson Stephens & Company.
David is a board member, past president and past chairman of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), which is the oldest and largest pan-Asian, cross-border technology executive network in Silicon Valley. He also serves on the boards of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM) and the Bullis-Purissima Elementary School Foundation.

Dr. Westrup is the Director of Oncology, and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Beacon Hospital Dr. Westrup is appointed Associate Clinical Professor at University College Dublin and sits on the steering committee of the innovative UCD Beacon Academy. Dr. Westrup is the former Medical Director at Beacon Hospital.
Dr. Westrup was a member of the original Beacon Hospital Board from 2007 – 2008, served as Chairperson of the Beacon Pharmacy/Therapeutics Committee for 3 years, and as the Director of Education for Beacon Hospital from 2008 – 2014.
She currently sits on the Clinical Governance Committee of the Beacon Hospital Board, and was an invited member of the International Quality and Patient Safety Committee of UPMC. Dr. Westrup lectures on the UCD Risk Management Program.
Dr. Westrup is a member of Cancer Trials Ireland. Her past research on breast cancer has been presented at international conferences, and is published in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Westrup currently advises the Health Care Products Regulatory Clinical Sub Trials Committee. She is a member of the National Cancer Care Program, Melanoma Clinical Advisory Group.
Dr. Westrup graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University with a BSc in Biology and received her medical degree with honours at University College Dublin. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Boston University Medical Center, was Resident Teacher of the Year and awarded the CREST scholarship; a National Institute of Health Grant. She completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Boston University Medical Center and was honoured as Chief Fellow. Dr. Westrup is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Augustine has 30 years of business experience working with C-level executives and senior government officials in Europe, the US and Asia, and across multiple industry sectors such as Aerospace & Defence, Environmental Engineering, Oil & Gas and Information & Communications Technology.
From 2007 to 2021, Augustine was the Senior Vice President (Europe) based in London for Singapore-listed ST Engineering, a Temasek-linked company. In addition to developing new opportunities in Smart Cities and Urban Transportation, he was involved in the €250m acquisition of a satellite communications company and a strategic co-investment with Atlantic Bridge in Cloudsphere.
Prior to ST Engineering, Augustine was a Defence Counsellor for 5 years at the Singapore Embassy in Paris, where he oversaw strategic cooperation agreements between Europe and Singapore.
Augustine holds a Master’s degree in Photonics Engineering (1989) from France, where he studied on a Singapore government scholarship. In 2001, he was sponsored by the Singapore government to attend the INSEAD Asian International Executive Programme. More recently, he obtained an MIT Professional Certificate in Quantum Computing in 2018 and has given talks on the subject.
Augustine remains a Non-Executive Director of ST Engineering in the UK and is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Insight Terra, a portfolio company of Atlantic Bridge.

Brendan Cremen has an engineering background and has been active in technology and business innovation throughout his career. In the 1980s, he was a member of the start-up team at Lattice Semiconductor in the US and held senior engineering and business management roles there through to IPO. On returning to Ireland in the mid-1990s, Brendan joined the launch team for Xilinx Ireland where he led the expansion of its mandate as an international R&D hub for the corporation. More recently, he spent 10 years in the development of the commercialisation agenda within the Irish university sector, most directly with UCC and UCD. At UCD he drove the establishment of the University Bridge Fund and now is an advisor to this fund.

Carl Jackson has an Electronics Engineering background, completing a PhD after immigrating to Ireland in the late 90s. Carl spun-out the semiconductor sensor technology from his PhD into SensL promptly spending the next 14 years building a fantastic team, products and brand to become the leading sensor supplier in markets from medical imaging to automotive. SensL was purchased by Onsemi in 2018. Carl was VP Engineering at Onsemi for 3 years before exiting the business to focus on startups as an entrepreneur. Carl currently engages with an exciting group of startups and SMEs investing, advising and as an active participant as needed to assist each in moving forward rapidly to build shareholder value and realize their full potential. Carl has strategically advised companies from founding, funding, growing, operating to exiting. In Carl's last exit in 2023 he operated as banker and seller's rep, realizing the sale of the high tech start-up to that industry's NASDAQ listed market leader. Carl works with Atlantic Bridge as Strategic Advisor from his home base in Cork particularly involved with his alma mater, UCC and Tyndall to encourage the next generation of spin-outs.

Megan joined Atlantic Bridge in 2020 as Legal Counsel. She focuses on providing legal expertise during the evaluation and execution of new investments, as well as legal support to Atlantic Bridge’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Megan worked as a lawyer at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, a leading South African law firm, where she specialised in Mergers & Acquisitions submissions and restrictive trade. Megan holds a BA and LLB from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Master’s degree in Law from the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Venture Capital, Mergers & Acquisitions and Antitrust.

Des is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ireland), having trained with KPMG’s financial services division in Dublin, where he took lead roles in the audit of clients in the banking and aircraft leasing sectors. He then headed up the management accounting division in Dublin-based outsourcing firm Contract Accounting, where he provided financial control and mentoring advice to startup and SME clients in the retail and services sector. This was followed with a spell in Aviva as management accountant in their Investment Management department (AIME). Des holds an honours masters degree in Accounting from DCU, having completed a BA in Accounting and Finance from the same institution.

Nicola is a financial accountant with Atlantic Bridge. Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Nicola was responsible for the Fund Administration and Investor Relations for a boutique investment firm in London. Nicola holds a First Class Honours B. Triona is Executive Assistant and Facilities Manager of Atlantic Bridge, Dublin. With more than 25 year's experience as Executive Assistant, she has a proven track record of executive support and management. Triona provides support to Managing Partners Brian Long and Elaine Coughlan, as well as support to General Partner Mark Horgan and the wider team. Previously, she was Executive Assistant to Brian Long, Founder and CEO of Parthus-Ceva Technologies, from 1994-2003. She finds enjoyment in helping people and organisations become successful. Triona successfully project managed the Atlantic Bridge corporate Head Quarter relocation in 2017.

Maeve joined Atlantic Bridge in 2016. Previously Maeve has worked at Goldman Sachs Dublin, Charles Schwab in San Francisco and supported our Managing Partner, Kevin Dillon, during his MD role at Microsoft European Operations Center in Dublin. Maeve has experience in Executive Assistant and Event Managements roles having worked in the International Labour Office in Geneva, European Commission in Brussels as well as time spent in London and San Francisco.

Anne is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant in the Palo Alto office. She has been assisting VCs in Silicon Valley for the past 6 years-- organizing schedules, seeing around corners, finding solutions and overseeing everything in between. Prior to this role, she has worn diverse managerial hats in the fields of restaurant operations, pharmaceutical sales and healthcare public relations. When she relocated and lived in Hong Kong for 7 years, she developed and conducted training modules as an advocate for financial literacy. Anne was born and raised in Manila and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from the University of the Philippines.
