Prowler gathering All-star cast at AI summit in Cambridge

Some of the best minds in Artificial Intelligence are gathering in Cambridge next month for a two-day summit organised by PROWLER.io designed to show that the cluster is helping Europe move towards a global lead in the red hot technology segment

Amazon is leading an all-star cast at the Decision Summit at Downing College on November 14 and 15. The masterclass will showcase the future of human and machine decision making and highlight how machines can enhance the decisions people make.

Leading practitioners in the segment – from the corporate and academic arenas – will take part in a series of keynotes and visits behind the scenes at Cambridge University’s research labs.

Craig Saunders, head of applied science at Amazon Alexa Knowledge will talk about the future of voice interfaces.

Paul Clarke, chief technology officer at Ocado, addresses the future mobility of atoms – moving people, goods and robots around new ‘physical internets.’

Dr Julien Cornebise, director of research (London), Element AI will talk about AI as a force for good while the topic of computer-brain interfaces falls to Georgia Dienst, director at Kernel.

Dr Chris Dilloway, executive at Hakluyt Cyber will consider cyber threats to AI and Ilyas Khan, CEO & co-founder, Cambridge Quantum Computing, will go under the hood of quantum computers and their impact on machine-assisted decision making.

Dr John Piorkowsky from Johns Hopkins University tackles the issue of transforming national security with data science and Dr Jess Whittlestone, a post-doctoral research associate at the Centre for the Future of Intelligence, Cambridge, addresses how AI can improve human decision making.

PROWLER.io’s internationally respected chairman, Carl-Edward Rasmussen, will talk about the relationship between intelligence and technology. Ian Goldin, professor of globalisation and development at the University of Oxford tackles ‘Our new renaissance: The systematic risks and rewards of our age of discovery.’
